Private dermatology practice in Ankara
Prof. Dr. Başak Yalçın offers private dermatology consultations in Çankaya, Ankara, caring for a wide range of skin, hair, scalp, and nail conditions as well as allergic, autoimmune, infectious, and pigment-related disorders.
Practice
Patients often come in with concerns such as acne, eczema, rosacea, itching, pigment change, hair loss, or nail problems, yet the practice also addresses rarer and more complex dermatologic disease. The aim is to offer experienced, academically grounded care in a setting that feels personal, calm, and direct.
Areas of Care
Evaluation and follow-up for recurrent, inflammatory, and immune-mediated conditions that benefit from long-term dermatologic care.
Assessment of allergic and reactive skin conditions, chronic itch, hives, eczema patterns, and sensitivity-driven complaints.
Broad dermatologic care for hair shedding, patchy loss, scalp symptoms, dandruff, nail disease, and periungual concerns.
Diagnosis and treatment of fungal, viral, parasitic, and sexually transmitted dermatologic conditions.
Care for pigment disorders, visible lesions, scars, freckles, texture-related concerns, and other noticeable skin changes.
Assessment of complex disease patterns, rare conditions, suspicious lesions, autoimmune disease, and long-term monitoring needs.
Common Concerns
From active breakouts to post-inflammatory marks and scarring pathways.
Evaluation of flushing, sensitivity, and rosacea-pattern facial inflammation.
Longitudinal care for chronic inflammatory disease with flare-based follow-up.
Scalp-focused assessment for shedding, alopecia areata, and patterned thinning.
Support for visible skin-tone changes, sun spots, freckles, and depigmenting disorders.
Care for nail plate change, periungual inflammation, and persistent nail symptoms.
Approach
Consultations are designed to understand the full clinical picture, not just the visible symptom. History, triggers, previous treatments, and current skin-care routines all matter.
From common conditions such as acne or eczema to rarer autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, treatment planning is shaped by the condition itself and the patient's long-term needs.
The practice combines professor-level academic background with the directness and continuity of a private consultation setting.

Patient Experience
From the initial evaluation to follow-up visits and administrative details — answers to the questions patients most frequently ask.
The visit usually begins with a general dermatologic evaluation, review of symptoms, and discussion of the likely medical concern. Once the condition is explained, a treatment plan is outlined. If the visit is focused on cosmetic care, the consultation is used to assess the skin findings, understand the patient’s goals, and discuss the most appropriate options.
Patients are usually asked to bring prior medical history, a list of current medicines or treatments, and any previous biopsy or pathology results if these are available.
Yes. Children and adolescents are also seen for dermatologic evaluation and follow-up.
Yes. Skin biopsies and a range of in-clinic medical or cosmetic procedures can be planned and performed in the clinic when clinically appropriate.
Follow-up timing is planned by the office according to the patient’s condition, the treatment being used, and how the response is progressing.
Cancellations are generally discouraged, but if an urgent situation makes attendance impossible, the office can help arrange a new appointment time.
The practice does not bill health insurance directly. Patients may later contact their own insurance provider regarding reimbursement or related administrative questions.
